Rep. Ramone had the proud honor of attending a bill signing ceremony recently for legislation aimed at improving the learning environment in traditional public schools and charter schools for students with special needs and disabilities. Senate Bill 33 was signed into law in the Governor's Dover office. The bill, which Rep. Ramone helped to unveil in the winter with Attorney General Matt Denn, implements the recommendations of the IEP (Individualized Education Plan) Improvement Task Force. The recommendations outlined in the new law focus on improving the IEP process for parents at the school district-level and providing them with the resources and information they need to make informed decisions about their child's specific education plan.
